Rock Ridge Games is, for lack of a better term, a bootstrapped company.  What does that mean?  It means that every dollar we have, both as a business and as individuals, goes into our games.  We are 100% self-funded (poor), 100% hungry (both literally and figuratively), and 100% committed to making this company a market leader within the next 2 years.

What does that mean for prospective employees?  Well, the long and short of it is that we are not currently hiring but are always on the lookout for talent.  When our games become big hits, and they will, we will be looking to add staff.  Primarily programming staff, maybe an artist, but probably not any designers.  We’ve got that area covered.  We also don’t want any corporate goons sending us emails looking for jobs.  We don’t care much for the likes of you around these here parts.

In addition to full-time staff, we’re also looking for the best and brightest outsource talent.  Outsourced talent makes a lot more sense for us.  We don’t have to pay you benefits, we don’t have to give you a place to sit, and we don’t have to worry about you eating all of our pop tarts or drinking all of our Coke Zero.  We also have budget to pay you, which is a good thing.

If you are a 3D artist, a 2D pixel pusher, a gameplay programming guru, or someone who has experience in both developing for the iPhone or in porting games and applications to other platforms (RIM, Android, PC, etc), then we want to hear from you.  Send an email to hr at rockridgegames dot com and tell us why you’re awesome and why we need to sign you for our next game.
